The fifty two units at Lion's Head Condominiums offer a choice of two or three bedroom condos (varying in size from 1100-1900 square feet) each with deck or patio, each carefully laid out with great care and attention to the privacy of residents. These low-maintenance condos are efficiently designed, with substantial living space, ample closets and ample sunshine. The original courtyard units have oil-fired furnaces, while the units built later have individual propane-fired central heating and air-conditioning systems.
The Lion's Head Association - under the aegis of an independent management company - is responsible for lawn mowing, snowplowing, exterior painting and roofing. Lion's Head is served by town water and sewer systems. All utilities are underground. On site amenities include the full-sized swimming pool with bathhouse, and a tennis court, placed among mature white pines. "Common property" at Lion's Head is spacious and carefully tended. The landscape includes a wide variety of trees and flowering bushes, flourishing against the background of ever-changing foliage on the hill behind.
The Town of Salisbury is well managed by an elected Board of Selectman. Property taxes are among the lowest, if not the lowest, in the state. Easy access to and from New York City (in just over two hours) is available via Metro North’s Harlem Valley Line from Wassaic, New York. Hartford and its Bradley Field airport are also within easy reach by car, as well as the Westchester County airport, now served by major airlines.
Governance of Lion's Head is in the hands of the Lion's Head Association, composed of all residents and an elected Board of Directors. The professional management company working closely with the Board of Directors, is responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance. The Association Board works diligently throughout the year on policies, annual budgeting, and long-term financial planning.
